Medical/ Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage Therapy in Parker CO
Tension Headaches ~ Migraines ~ TMJ
Acute & Chronic Pain
4-6 weekly massages can help you get your life back!
Science has confirmed that 90% of all doctor visits are for symptoms caused by stress. 70% of those of those visits are because of chronic pain.
The interesting thing about stress is that it’s non-discriminatory. You could be a multimillionaire business owner, or stay at home Mom. No one is immune and the incubation period is invisible.
What I do:
My style of massage is a combination of
- Myofascial Release
- Neuro-muscular Therapy
- Trigger Point Therapy
- Graston Therapy
- Vibrational Therapy
These combined techniques release the underlying causes of your pain and discomfort. The intent is to relieve the symptoms of myofascial & muscular dysfunction and is not strictly a relaxation experience.
- What is Medical/ Deep Tissue Massage Therapy?
Medical/ Deep Tissue Massage Therapy is a healing art form all to itself. Commonly referred to as “sneaky deep tissue“, it combines advanced training in anatomy, physiology and technique. It is not normal to be in constant pain during massage. I cringe when I hear clients tell me about the deep tissue massage they got that made them sick or have a headache later in the day.
Making your body ill is not therapy, it’s a lack of training.
In a properly given medical/deep tissue massage, you will feel nothing more than a “good workout” soreness the next day. This is not about maximizing your pain threshold; this about relieving stress by restoring circulation to congested areas so the body can heal itself. You will experience periods of discomfort during the massage as I work out the kinks, however you will be able to breathe. Deep breathing also helps to calm and reset the nervous system
The interesting thing about pain is that your brain can usually only register two (2) painful areas at once. Other areas are either diffused or ignored. This protection mechanism is why you are shocked at how many areas of your body are experiencing pain when I begin to massage your muscles/fascia. During your massage, you will notice my focus may be different than your original complaint. This is because the massage techniques I use will reveal the true cause(s) of your pain.

a note about 90 min sessions : a 90 min session will not make up for months or years of not receiving regular massages. The body can only release so much at a time so unless you’re over 6′ tall and very muscular, let’s start with 60 min. Research studies have proven that 2 one hour massages within 7 days of each other are significantly more effective than (1) 90 min session.
a note about prenatal massages: Deep tissue massage is contraindicated during pregnancy. Prenatal massage is about moving lymph and encouraging circulation in a body that has hyper mobile joints and double the blood volume. I can minimize your discomfort, however the only thing that will take all the discomfort away is having your baby. I do my prenatal massage on a specific pregnancy cushion that allows you to (safely and comfortably) lie on your belly during all trimesters. I do not do side lying prenatal massages. Session includes additional time for recuperating and dressing after the massage
All new clients must book online and prepay for their first service. This policy has enabled me to have “zero” no-shows or last minute cancellations. Thank you for your understanding. All appointments require a credit card or gift certificate number to reserve your time. A credit card must remain on file to book future appointments.
In consideration of my practice and other clients, cancellations or rescheduling appointments require a 24 hour notice to avoid being charged in full for your service. Voicemails or texts received outside of normal business hours may result in being charged in full for your appointment.
For prepaid sessions that are cancelled at least 24 hours before the appointment time and a refund is requested; be advised there is a 10% credit card processing fee that will be deducted from your prepaid amount. This offsets the fees I am charged for both your purchase and your refund from my processor.
Massage is an art form and each therapist’s approach and training is very unique. If during the session you find that my technique is not working for you, please let me know so we can end the session. I will refund any remaining prepaid time @ $1.00 per minute. I do not refund completed sessions.
30 min or 90 min sessions are not booked on Saturday due to limited appointment availability.
